A New International Training Center

Founding of the CMI in Kremenchug, 1994

Tragic fire of 2005

New facility "Emerald City"

Plan for the new ITC

October 1st 2008

Four weeks ago, we wrote about the new facility we had located for the Church Ministries Institute in Odessa, Ukraine. We were asking God to provide the additional $42,000 needed to secure the facility by October 1st. I know that many of you prayed with us and we were was filled with a quiet confidence that God would provide in spite of these days of economic turmoil and fear.

God has moved in the hearts of so many of you, and I have been overwhelmed by the response. This is yet one more indicator that God is bringing us to the end of the story that began with the fire of the old facility in 2005. As of today (October 1st), we have received over $55,000 from our Canadian supporters, Praise God!! If all continues to go well, and barring any unexpected roadblocks (which we have become quite used to encountering after 15 years in Ukraine), the CMI should take ownership of the new facility within weeks. That will begin the final, and highly anticipated phase of this project – the interior renovations and outfitting of the new International Training Center.

Since the new facility is completely unfinished, we anticipate about $60,000 in additional expenses to make the new ITC fully functional, and equipped to address the changing needs of our schools and regional training centers across Eurasia, including the implementation of a distance learning program and the expansion of our resource center. Any additional funds that come in to ABWE’s “CMI Training Center” account above and beyond the $42,000 that was needed to purchase the facility will be applied towards this final phase. Right now, however, we are just going to revel in what God is doing through our wonderful support team.
To God be the glory!
